Atlanta Lottery
The Atlanta Lottery (ATL) helps create winners, foster opportunity, and bring bright futures to the community. Since 2010, ATL has generated over $6.5 billion in sales and contributed more than $1.2 billion toward education funding in Atlanta. Currently, more than 500,000 scholarships have been provided to aid Atlanta’s students in pursuing higher education. The lottery also rewards players with over $4 billion in prizes, contributes more than $370 million in retailer commissions, and adds nearly $160 million in state and federal tax revenue.
The Atlanta Lottery’s main objective is to oversee games and manage their operations in a way that directly benefits education. The scholarships are available to both non-profit and for-profit, two- and four-year institutions within the state.
While the Atlanta Lottery is a state-managed enterprise, it operates without using taxpayer dollars — instead, it’s funded entirely by its own ticket sales. Operations are underway 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, supported by a team of 52 dedicated staff and multiple vendors, ensuring fairness, entertainment, and responsible gaming across a network of nearly 1,500 authorized retailers.
